About the System

What an Amerex Fire Suppression System Is

Boss Fire Protection is a Texas State Licensed fire protection company (ECR-2481913) with over 40 years of combined experience across Dallas-Fort Worth. Amerex is one of the wet-chemical commercial kitchen systems we install and service every week.

Amerex KP and Zone Defense are UL 300 wet-chemical systems built for the commercial cookline.

How Amerex Protects Your Cookline

Amerex builds UL 300 listed wet-chemical systems for commercial kitchens. The KP system and Zone Defense both detect a fire over the cookline, discharge a wet-chemical agent that smothers grease fires and cools the surface, and shut off the gas and electric to the appliances so the fire cannot reignite.

The two lines differ in how they handle change. The KP system is a proven, widely deployed pre-engineered platform. Zone Defense is built so a kitchen can move, add, or swap appliances under the hood without redesigning the whole system, which keeps a busy kitchen protected as its layout changes.

Boss Fire Protection is Texas State Licensed (ECR-2481913) by the Texas Department of Insurance, State Fire Marshal’s Office, and we install, inspect, service, and repair Amerex systems across Dallas-Fort Worth.

Why Choose Amerex

What Makes Amerex a Strong Choice

Amerex ranks near the top of the systems we service. Here is where it stands out for a working Dallas-Fort Worth kitchen.

Zone Defense flexibility

Zone Defense lets you move, add, or swap appliances under the hood without redesigning the whole system, so a kitchen that changes its layout can stay protected without starting over.

Predictable long-term cost

Amerex inspections and long-term maintenance run on a steady, predictable schedule, so the cost of keeping the system compliant year over year holds few surprises.

Forgiving when a kitchen changes

Menus and equipment change. Amerex is built to adapt to a new fryer, a relocated range, or an added appliance with less rework than a more rigid system would need.

Proven KP wet chemical

The KP system is a proven, widely deployed UL 300 wet-chemical platform. It does the core job well, and parts and service support are easy to source.

Common Questions

Amerex Fire Suppression FAQs

Does Boss Fire service Amerex fire suppression systems?

Yes. Boss Fire inspects, services, and repairs Amerex KP and Zone Defense commercial kitchen systems across Dallas-Fort Worth. We run the semi-annual NFPA 96 inspection, handle NFPA 17A maintenance, and re-tag the system on site.

Do you stock Amerex parts?

We carry Amerex parts on the truck, so most red-tag repairs are fixed on the first visit instead of waiting on a parts order. If a part has to be sourced, we tell you up front and turn it around fast.

Can you install a new Amerex system?

Yes. We install new Amerex KP and Zone Defense systems for new builds and retrofits in commercial kitchens, food trucks, and industrial lines. Zone Defense is a strong choice if your layout is likely to change, since appliances can move without a full redesign.

Can you service an Amerex system another company installed?

Yes. It does not matter who installed it. We take over inspection, service, and repair of an existing Amerex system, document its current condition on the first visit, and put it on a tracked compliance schedule going forward.

How does Amerex compare to other kitchen suppression systems?

Amerex ranks near the top of the systems we service. Its strengths are Zone Defense flexibility for changing layouts and predictable long-term maintenance cost. Our guide to commercial kitchen fire suppression systems breaks down how it lines up against CaptiveAire, ANSUL, and the rest.
